This intervention revitalizes an 1890 residence, harmonizing historical preservation with contemporary adaptive reuse. The project necessitated a comprehensive programmatic overhaul, a new perimeter threshold to redefine the street-front presence, and an interior reconfiguration to accommodate an older couple in the main house, and two short-term rental studios in the adjacent building. A spiral staircase facilitates a seamless connection between the external patios serving as a connective tissue, transforming the outdoor voids into the primary catalysts for the building's renewed domestic life.
